Duckzilla
May 15, 2013
We see some really interesting things at PizzaExpress. There is the occasional celebrity who pops by their local to grab their usual pizza. There are locals who drop by and tell stories of their local neighbourhood over a serving of Dough Balls. And other times we see a giant duck puddling past our restaurant in Hong Kong.
The giant duck is an art piece by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman that travels around the world – and we absolutely love it!
Our team in Hong Kong took some photos and we cannot help but think…. what would Duckzilla’s favourite pizza be?

Summer is here
May 3, 2013
Have you noticed how the seasons have changed? Longer days, warmer temperatures and more importantly – extra time to be outside and enjoy yourself.
We have been hard at work developing a menu so you can take advantage of the summer season. We wanted to create healthier choices and also get kids excited about food.

Across all our restaurants we’ve introduced a new summer menu which includes a brand new Leggera Supper Food Salad (even suitable for anyone who is on the 5:2 diet!), Gluten Free options (yes, we now have GF pizza!) and a sparkly new Kids menu.
Drop by your local PizzaExpress to try it. Actually, with summer here, why not go for a day out and visit a PizzaExpress in a new town!
Getting creative at home with Moshi Monsters
August 9, 2012
Being creative is at the core of who we are here at PizzaExpress. From the pizzas we make, to our ties with music and the arts. We feel there is something truly special about letting your imagination be free.
This is one of the reasons why we teamed up with Moshi Monsters – an online pet monster community – to encourage people to create Pizza Art.
Pizza Art? It’s pretty simple and quite cool – Pizza Art is where we encourage you (yes, it’s not just for kids!) to be creative with fresh ingredients and make characters on your pizza base. We then ask that you to upload your artwork to our Pizza Art page.
Below are some uploaded artworks, you can view the entire gallery here.
Please note: No monsters were harmed during the making of Pizza Art.

Luvli Pizza Art by Lily, 7 years old
Moshi Monsters helped us out by making pizzas that look like our favourite Monsters (Diavlo, Luvli and Poppet). You can now make some Moshi Monsters at home and eat them too!
We love the idea of getting people, especially kids, into fresh ingredients by being creative and experimenting with cooking at home.
You too can be part of the action. For more information about our Pizza Art initiative visit our Pizza Art homepage.

Valentine Warner’s Fennel & Salami pizza
May 4, 2012
Fresh thinly sliced fennel and rocket tossed in lemon oil and lemon zest – that’s only the finishing touches for Valentine Warner’s new Fennel & Salami pizza.
We haven’t even mentioned the soft fennel salami – specially made for us by award winning charcuterie Trealy Farm. The fennel salami is placed on a classic base with chilli flakes, fennel seeds and mozzarella sprinkled on top.
As it comes out of the oven our pizzaiolos pepper the pizza with grated grana padano and top it off with the fennel and rocket. The heat from the pizza and the coolness of the fennel and rocket really brings the pizza to life.

We are so proud of Valentine’s ‘Summery’ creation. And Valentine is also so proud to present a pizza with his favourite ingredient – fennel.
Introduced on the 24th April, Valentine’s Fennel & Salami pizza is proving to be extremely popular with PizzaExpress fans – make sure you drop by and try it for yourself.
Competition:
Win a Chef’s Table experience with Valentine Warner – where he will cook for especially for you and five friends.

Two new pizzas from Valentine Warner
April 24, 2012
Today we launch our new menu featuring two pizzas created exclusively for PizzaExpress by famed TV cook and food writer Valentine Warner.
Valentine has been hard at work with our team to develop two stunning pizzas that cover two food areas that should please you all – meat and fish.
The exciting thing about Valentine’s creations is that they are not simple pizzas; the Fennel Salami pizza features a fennel salami and some additional fresh fennel drizzled in lemon. We are certain Valentine will turn a few people into fennel fanatics – It is truly delicious.
The Puttanesca uses marinated anchovies with capers and mixed olives; these ingredients steal the show for this pizza as it really packs a punch.
Valentine Warner’s two fabulous pizzas are available from today, 24th April, at all PizzaExpress restaurants.

Exclusive competition:
We are offering one lucky PizzaExpress fan the chance to have Valentine Warner cook exclusively for them and five friends at a private seating. This Chef’s Table experience will give you an insider look at Valentine’s inspiration behind the pizzas.

What’s your favourite?
January 25, 2012
Everyone has their favourite PizzaExpress pizza.
Maybe it’s the hit of pepperoni with roquito peppers on the American Hot, the Fiorentina with a soft egg, or the combination of mascarpone and fennel seeds on the new Alba.
We asked a few of our famous friends what their favourite PizzaExpress pizza is…
Lawrence Dallaglio craves the Meatball Bolognese on a thin and crispy Romana base, whilst Jodie Kidd loves the melt-in-the-mouth bite of the Padana on our new Leggera base. Juicy tomatoes with pesto on the Pomodoro Pesto, served on the authentic Romana base, is what Sophie Ellis Bextor adores and Patrick Kielty often drops by Regent for a classic favourite, the fiery American Hot.
So, go on, what’s your favourite?
