A little Halloween treat for your little monsters…

Today we have made our Halloween Dough Balls available for our Piccolo menus up until 31st October.

The idea of the Halloween Dough Balls all came about when Antenor, one of our pizzaiolos, made some for our team and we posted a photo on Facebook. The instant reaction from our community made our collective light globes flicker… We should release these pumpkins! But we should double check with our Facebook community first.

In the meantime we quickly passed along our little trick to all our restaurants across the country just in time for Halloween.

We really hope your little monsters enjoy our little treat.

London has voted… With their mouths

We have been very busy over the past two weeks looking to find out who Londoners would stomach as their next mayor.

This little campaign of fun has got people talking around the country. Even Ken turned up with his team to Victoria Street to get a taste of the action.

For the majority of the campaign ‘Boris’ was ahead but in a last minute twist ‘Ken’ came out on top with a 4% lead.

Things heat up between Ken and Boris

Last night Mayor of London hopeful, Ken Livingstone, visited our Victoria Street restaurant to have a little fun with our ‘Are you a Boris or Ken’ campaign.

We love the fact that Ken literally heated up the mayoral debate by placing a ‘Boris’ pizza in the piping hot oven.

Our customers are voting with their mouths. Currently Boris is leading by 8%.

The winner will be announced next Monday evening at the London Restaurant Festival Awards.

Click & Collect

From today you can order and pay for your PizzaExpress takeaway meal directly from our website.

We call it Click & Collect.

It is that simple, you click and then you collect.

It’s the same beautiful, hand-made pizza. Made by the same super-skilled Pizzaiolos.

All you have to do is create your own atmosphere, even if it’s a guilty pleasure like vegging out, watching X-Factor in your trackies.

You can order from here

A slice from the Big Apple

We brought you Leggera, the 500 calorie pizza with a hole in the middle.
We introduced you to Romana, the thinner, crispier pizza base.
We tickled your taste buds with our spiciest pizza yet, the Calabrese.
And that was after we brought pizza to the British high street more than 45 years ago.

What’s next?

Our passionate team of foodies have set off to the epicentre of innovation this week… New York! They’ll be soaking up the music, design and of course food of the Big Apple.

We’ll be sharing their highlights here over the coming weeks so stay with us to find out what has inspired us from across the pond.

Are you a Boris or a Ken?

The race for London’s biggest political prize is beginning to heat up with Boris Johnson and Ken Livingstone going head to head for Mayor of London. Usually people vote with a ballot card but we have decided to get people voting with their mouths.

To celebrate our partnership with the London Restaurant Festival, we have created a ‘Boris’ and a ‘Ken’ pizza that will be available at PizzaExpress restaurants across London from 3rd October to 17th October. The most popular pizza will be announced at the London Restaurant Festival Awards on 17th Oct.

If you like a Sloppy Giuseppe, you’ll love the ‘Boris’, with spicy beef, onions, peppers and an extra mop of Mozzarella on top – highlighting Boris’ famously unkept hair.
The ‘Ken’ is a twist on our new Pomodoro Pesto, with a strong tomato base and avocado featured as a nod to his ‘Red Ken’ persona and his love of growing fresh veggies in his garden.

Make sure you have your say with our limited edition pizzas. The question is, are you a Boris or a Ken?
